A tactical approach to encourage interactive engagement

Playtime offers an unrestricted space for not only childhood imagination, but also creative thought and experience by users of all ages and abilities.

The Opportunity

Heavy was engaged by the artists to create sculpted concrete sculptures for the B.C. Women’s and Children’s Health Centres.

The Approach

Having worked with Myfanwy in the past, Heavy was happy to collaborate on another art project. We provided samples and mock-ups to ensure the artists were happy before beginning fabrication.

Heavy helped design, fabricate and paint the sculptures. Complicated masking and painting were undertaken to match the artist’s desired paint scheme. Projection mapping and 3d modelling were used to achieve the exact look with the coatings. Heavy did the install as well.
